Darren John Jackson was appointed to the Federal Court of Australia on 20 March 2019.

Justice Jackson graduated from the University of Western Australia with a B Juris and LLB (Hons) in 1991, and was admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1992.

He practised in Perth as a commercial litigation solicitor until 2010, when he was called to the Western Australian Bar. He appeared as counsel in commercial cases including in the areas of corporations, insolvency, competition and consumer law. He was appointed Senior Counsel for Western Australia in 2016.

His Honour held positions on the Education Committee of the Law Society of Western Australia and the Competition and Consumer Committee of the of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and served as a director and Chair of Francis Burt Chambers.
